A university where you don't try too hard, rediscovering your proud form
Prior to the start of the UAAP Season 86 Women's Volleyball Tournament, National University (NU) emphasized redemption as a theme after losing heart to La Salle in last year's final series.
But in trying to pick up the pieces of a shattered dream, the Lady Bulldogs may have tried too hard to achieve their goals.
“In our desire to reclaim and protect the word redemption, sometimes we forget to enjoy and show the real game,” said NU star Vera Belen, 25-14, 25- 14, 25-12, to the Inquirer in Filipino. They will face hapless Eastern University (UE) at the Mall of Asia Arena on Wednesday. Full text
