Samsung integrates Lunit's AI into high-end X-ray machines
South Korean medical AI provider Lunit has signed a three-year supply agreement with Samsung Electronics.
The agreement is for the integration of Lunit's two chest X-ray AI solutions (Lunit INSIGHT CXR and Lunit INSIGHT CXR Triage) into Samsung's line of premium X-ray devices.
According to a press release, the AI-integrated X-ray machine will be rolled out first in the United States, Canada, and Europe, and will later be available in the Middle East, South America, and Southeast Asia.
Canon Medical and Olympus collaborate on endoscopy ultrasound
Canon Medical Systems Inc. and Olympus Corporation will begin collaboration on the development of ultrasound endoscopy equipment.
We provide advanced ultrasound endoscopy by combining Canon Medical's ultrasound diagnostic system „Aplio i8002“ with Olympus' ultrasound endoscope.
Under the agreement, Canon Medical will manufacture diagnostic systems used in endoscopic ultrasound examinations, and Olympus will be responsible for sales and marketing. As stated in a press statement, they are aiming for global expansion, starting with Japan and Europe.
Karkinos Healthcare adopts cloud-based genomic analysis platform for blood cancer research
Cancer care solutions company Karkinos Healthcare has adopted SOPHiA GENETICS' cloud-based genomic analysis platform to accelerate research into blood cancers and solid tumors in underserved communities.
According to a press release, SOPHiA DDM can „compute a wide range of genomic variations“ and „continuously hone machine learning algorithms to detect rare and difficult cases.“
Karkinos said the platform will be used to „rapidly obtain high-quality, reproducible data that will ultimately accelerate clinical research studies and advance the use of precision medicine.“
