On April 19th, Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) expires. The program, which ostensibly allows the government to spy on foreign nationals overseas, has been used against Americans.
Now, Congressional Republicans and the Biden administration are trying to update the program.
Some conservative Republicans want to abolish it all. They argue that the current system allows illegal spying on American citizens.
Donald Trump agrees with them.

„Kill Fisa“
Mr. Trump and conservatives will have to contend with the Republican establishment, which vigorously supports the bill.Axios reports that House Speaker Mike Johnson desperately trying to save money on the bill.
Readers should note that the left is attempting to paint Johnson as a „MAGA.“ His positions on FISA and just about everything else are the exact opposite of America First policy.
from The Hill: „But as House Republicans met Thursday to discuss FISA, President Trump trumped up another provision of the law that allows domestic surveillance only if law enforcement secures a warrant. I urged the bill to be scrapped.“
„Kill FISA. It was used illegally against me and many others. They spied on my campaign!!!“ Trump wrote on his social media platform Truth Social. wrote.
The story continued:
The FBI secured a spy warrant for Trump campaign aide Carter Page, but it was later discovered that the application omitted key information and did not include details that contradicted the premise of the FBI's surveillance.
House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Turner (R-Ohio) pointed to abuses of the law from both a foreign and domestic surveillance perspective…
Still, the comment hurt the opinion of House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-Louisiana), who during the meeting suggested that his colleagues approve the bill without a warrant.
„I look forward to talking to him about this,“ Johnson said of President Trump. „So, here's the thing about FISA – he's not wrong. Of course they abused FISA. The whole Carter Page investigation – that fiasco was all about false premises, fake Russian documents, It builds on everything else. But these reforms will actually eliminate the abuses that allowed President Trump's campaign to be surveilled.“
Only in America can politicians openly admit that the programs they support are rife with abuses against the American people and violations of the Constitution.

Trump campaign was spied on
Donald Trump's 2016 presidential campaign was surveilled using a loophole FISA provision currently before Congress.
Policies that both the Democratic and Republican establishments are trying to protect.
And those policies are opposed by die-hard civil liberties advocates on both the right and the left.
time report, “For years, civil liberties advocates have argued to prevent the FBI from searching the trove of Americans' records without obtaining a warrant. He admitted to repeatedly breaking the law and conducting an improper investigation.“
“Current law under Section 702 is scheduled to expire in April after the House and Senate this week approved a short-term extension as part of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). This week, House Speaker Mike Johnson halted votes on two contentious FISA bills, citing disagreements over the program's future. ', the report noted.
Americans who value privacy and constitutional rights should expect Donald Trump to get his way. And they should hope that the establishment loses this battle.
Now is the time to support and share trusted sources.
