Donald Trump appears to know that he will be convicted of a crime in Manhattan, so he's already touted an outrageous conspiracy theory that juries are rigged against him. We've all seen this dance. If something is good for Trump, it is the fairest and best thing ever. When something bad happens to Trump, it's because it was rigged against him.
As Sarah Jones explained, prospective jurors undergo an extensive vetting and background process. Perhaps if Mr. Trump had woken up during his criminal trial, he would have already known this.
Knowing that he is likely to be convicted in Manhattan, Trump has been laying the groundwork throughout the campaign to argue that his conviction was the byproduct of a rigged jury.
The trial has not yet begun, but Donald Trump is making excuses for a possible conviction.
