The Positive Grid has already proven itself as a guitar amp. getting smaller and smaller entry in it spark line. However, at NAMM 2024, spark live, a 150-watt portable PA system with 4 speakers and 4-channel audio inputs. Spark Live is intended for band practice and small gigs, not quiet solo practice.
The first channel is dedicated to guitar, with nearly all of the power of Positive Grid's modeling technology at your disposal. There are 33 built-in amp models and 43 effects that can be combined into 8 different presets easily accessed from the main control panel.
Channel 2 has a combo 1/4-inch/XLR input with customized presets and effects for bass, vocals, and acoustic guitar. In addition to preamp models, there are also new effects exclusive to Spark Live. Channels 3 and 4 are a direct input stereo pair. There are amp models and effects here, but you can also run them directly from a synth, amp simulator pedal, or backing track on your computer.
There is a sensor inside that allows you to dynamically change the EQ based on your position. In portrait orientation, Live has a more direct, punchier tone. But when placed sideways, you get a wider and softer stereo field. It also has a built-in tilt stand so you can direct the sound where you need it. You can also automatically adjust the volume based on the received signal. There's also an optional battery pack for $79 that can power Spark Live for up to 8 hours.
In addition to the live show, Positive Grid also announced: spark control x, a Bluetooth foot controller for the Spark amplifier line. Connect to Spark Live down to the minute level. spark go. It features six customizable foot switches, MIDI support, an expression pedal jack, and a built-in rechargeable battery. Positive Grid also includes three transparent overlays that you can write on with a whiteboard marker so you can see what each switch does.
To round out the slew of announcements for NAMM 2024, Positive Grid also announced spark link Wireless guitar system. Wireless guitar transmission systems aren't new, but at $129, Positive Grid undercuts other players in the space. And the Link claims a range of 70 feet, 20 feet longer than the others.
All of Positive Grid's new products are available for pre-order directly from the company. Spark Live retails for $549, but a $50 off coupon is available during the pre-order period. Spark Control X and Spark Link are available for pre-order for $149 and $129, respectively.
