A poll of 63 battleground House districts found that abortion trumps immigration as a deal-breaker for voters.

A DCCC-commissioned poll of more than 1,000 likely voters in 63 House battleground districts across the country found that immigration and abortion were the top two „deal-blocking“ issues for respondents. In a poll conducted March 5-10, 36% of voters said they would not support a candidate who disagreed with them on abortion, and 33% said the same on immigration.

Polls show that the top attack on Republican candidates revolves around abortion. When voters were told that Republicans wanted to pass a national abortion ban, 52% said it was very concerning. The same percentage said they were very concerned that Republicans supported reversing Roe v. Wade.

Despite being a DCCC poll, this poll shows that immigration is not the overwhelming winning issue that Republicans think it is. It also became clear that President Trump gave Democrats a broader avenue to discuss immigration issues when he rejected a bipartisan border security bill.
