MANILA, Philippines – Phoenix guard Tyler Tio did not play in the Fuel Masters' 102-92 loss to Ginebra in the PBA Philippine Cup on Sunday at Araneta Coliseum.
Still, he received high praise from Gin Kings coach Tim Cone after the game, which saw Phoenix fall to 0-2.
„I'll tell you one thing: It really helped that Tyler Tio didn't play today,“ Cone said. „They're a different team without Tyler. He keeps everything under control, doesn't panic when things start to go downhill, and keeps everything moving forward. I think that's a big advantage throughout the game.“

„I think if Tyler had been in the game, especially when he made that run to take the lead, he would have made a difference there. I'm a big fan of Tyler Tio,“ Coan said.
There is no timeline for Tio's recovery at this time, but the Fuel Masters certainly hope to have him back in time for Wednesday's match against Terra Firma at PhilSports Arena.
