Prior to this, Nepal had set a challenging target of 185 runs for Netherlands to win the T-20I Triangle Series title. Batting first after winning the toss at the TU International Cricket Ground, Nepal scored a total of 184 runs, losing 8 wickets in 20 overs.

In the death overs of the innings, Nepal lost four wickets in quick succession in just eight balls. Kushal Malla was dismissed on the first ball of the 18th over and Curran KC was also dismissed on the last ball. Gulshan Jha then fell on the first ball of the 19th over and Aasif Sheikh fell on the second ball.
For the Netherlands, Fred Claassen, Tim van der Gugten, Michael Levitt and Cybrand Engelbrecht took two wickets each.
Despite starting late in the series, Nepal had shown promising performances in the last two matches. With 5 points from 4 games, the Netherlands qualified for the finals, followed closely by Nepal in second place with 4 points. Namibia finished in 3rd place with 3 points and was eliminated from the race for a place in the finals. On Saturday, Nepal defeated Netherlands by six wickets at the TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur to secure a spot in the trilateral T20I series final. Nepal chased down the target with ease, restricting the visiting team to 120 runs while losing only four wickets and with 28 balls to spare.
