Jamie Ffrench – WR – 2025
Mr. French kept his charge on Friday.of Alabama commit was the most successful receiver in both sessions at the combine. He excelled on deep routes, short routes, intermediate routes, crossing routes, and outbreak routes.
Ffrench did a great job of catching the ball with his hands no matter the route. He has a nice frame at 6-foot-2 and knows how to use that size to beat defensive backs, but he also has the speed to beat them with his pure running skills.
*****
Bryce Baker – QB – 2025
This combine had a deep group of quarterbacks, many of whom had great days. Baker is someone we’ve been following for a while, and Rivals250 north carolina Commit did not disappoint.
He has a smooth pitching motion and can throw powerfully to any part of the field. Baker did a great job of pitching accurately down the field and quickly adjusting his timing to suit the receivers he was paired with. When it was his turn to throw, the ball almost never hit the ground.
*****
Jayden O’Neal – QB – 2026
O’Neal has performed well in camp settings over the past few years, but this may have been his best performance yet. His 2026 signal caller from California was perhaps the most accurate quarterback of the day. His body has grown over the past year and his height has also increased slightly, allowing him to throw with even more power.
His mechanics were sound, which helped him deliver catchable balls on short, intermediate, or deep crossing routes. O’Neal has shown the ability to add touch to his passes as well.
*****
Carmelo Brooks – DL – 2025
There may not have been a more physical defensive lineman at Friday’s combine. Brooks isn’t a very good defensive lineman, but he packs a powerful punch and understands how to use his quickness and leverage to his advantage.
There was a play where Brooks threw a much larger offensive lineman backwards, and Brooks made it look easy. Brooks has plenty of time to continue to develop from his physical standpoint, and his technique should become even sharper as he ages.
*****
Grayson Wilson – QB – 2025
Wilson with him on Friday. arkansas commit had a very good day. His mechanics are sound and he throws a ball that’s really easy to catch. Receivers had no trouble handling the passes he threw, and his accuracy was impressive, especially on short and immediate routes.
Wilson had enough arm strength to carry the ball down the field, and once he adjusted to the receiver’s speed, his passes found their targets.
*****
Elijah Golden – DL – 2026
Golden didn’t see much of the field at IMG Academy last year, but next he will compete at one of the nation’s best schools. He played with plenty of power off the edge and did a great job using his speed and balance. Golden made some nice plays, using a swim move to beat an offensive lineman and get to the quarterback.
As he continues to gain more experience, his pass rush movement will expand and he will become an even more dominant defensive lineman.
*****
Demetri Manning – OL – 2025
Manning was one of the most aggressive offensive linemen at the combine on Friday, and had some highlight plays once the one-on-ones began. He used his superior size, strength, and length to keep defensive linemen from sniffing the backfield.
In a best-to-best one-on-one between linemen, Manning threw an oncoming defensive lineman into the onlookers, the highlight of the day.
*****
Wesley Yarbrough – RB – 2025
There were some impressive running backs at Friday’s combine, but Yarbrough was the most dominant. His explosiveness off the cut made it really difficult for linebackers to stick to him. Because of the separation Yarbrough was able to create, the quarterback had no trouble getting his hands on the ball.
He did a really good job catching the ball with his hands and made a lot of catches down the field.
*****
Caleb Edwards – TE – 2025
Friday’s tight end group was pretty impressive, but Edwards stole the show thanks to his 6-foot-6 frame and incredible athleticism. Edwards wore glasses during the one-on-one portion, but he had no problem jumping up and making the highlight-worthy catch.
He had success on routes down the field, routes to the sideline, and outbreak routes. It was very impressive to see him adapt to passes while the ball was in the air with his size.
*****
Kamryn Jones – WR – 2025
Jones was buried deep in St. John Bosco’s deep receiver corps last season, but if his performance at the combine is any indication of what to expect from him next year, we’re looking at a prolific wide receiver. You might be looking at receivers.
Jones, who displayed impressive route running skills, always made it easy for quarterbacks to get the ball. Due to his cutout speed, defensive backs were rarely able to keep up with him.
Quarterbacks loved pairing him up because they knew they had a big window to throw the ball into.
*****
Jacob Whitehead – DB – 2027
Whitehead is definitely a name to remember in the future. After a solid freshman campaign, Whitehead made an impression at the combine on Friday. He had a lean physique and very long arms, which created a lot of problems for quarterbacks and receivers.
Whitehead changed a lot of passes thanks to his tight coverage and seemed to have no problem playing physically when needed.
*****
Ezekiel Marcelin – LB – 2025
Marceline was one of the few linebackers who really shined on Friday. He excelled in coverage and stuck with running backs and tight ends despite his agility and size. He did a great job of being physical against backs and tight ends when they were on routes and breaking up timing with the quarterback.
Marceline also made two interceptions on breakthrough routes.
