For Lizzo, it seems like it’s finally time…
…to say goodbye to her career?
Last Friday, the 35-year-old singer took to Instagram to share a lengthy statement expressing her fatigue with being criticized by everyone in her life and online.
And so, what does this mean?

Is her career coming to an end?
“All I want is to create music and bring happiness to people while making the world a better place,” the Grammy winner shared.
“But it’s starting to feel like the world doesn’t want me in it.
“I’m constantly faced with false stories for attention & views… always being made fun of because of my appearance.”
Lizzo did not provide specific details in her message.
In August of last year, the singer was accused of sexual harassment by several backup dancers who claimed she embarrassed them by making them eat a banana from a stripper’s vagina, among other allegations.
It’s presumed that Lizzo was referencing this lawsuit when she added on March 29:
“My reputation is being torn apart by people who don’t know me and disrespecting my name.”

Stressing that she „didn’t agree to deal with this nonsense,“ the 35-year-old artist concluded:
“I QUIT.”
Since the lawsuit was filed, Lizzo has mostly remained out of the spotlight.
“These past few days have been incredibly challenging and incredibly disappointing,” she responded in an Instagram post on August 3. “My work ethic, morals, and respect have been called into question. My character has been attacked.”
Last November, the singer opened up to her fans about taking time to focus on herself.
“Hi. I’m working… on music, myself, relationships with people and food, my anxiety, my body, my business, and my trust issues with the world… but they are deep now, deeper than they’ve ever been. Xoxo,” Lizzo shared then.
On March 17, Lizzo gave fans an update on her music and goals.
“I’m working on creating some of my best music, and I can’t wait for you to hear it. I’m almost ready to be a regular person again, to be out in the world… to love and trust people… to try and make new friends… to go live… to sing and speak about my pain and joy,” she said, adding just two weeks ago:
“Thank you for your patience and to those who unfollowed, thank you too because now I know where we stand.”
