One of the great lessons of human history is that pandemics occur all the time.
Our ancestors could not do anything about the pandemic, but our situation today is different. So I think we need to learn the lessons of this history and reduce the risk of a pandemic.
shame on you @torontolibrary! Dr. Alalil was a famous 🇵🇸 university professor who was massacred by Israel along with his family for the sole crime of being Palestinian. His speech epitomizes nonviolence and humanity. Shame on you for assassinating his memory! That's despicable! https://t.co/whFRHDL4RYpic.twitter.com/nYckyYjrOH

In a new statement from Colombian President Minouche Shafik at 1:15 a.m., he announced that all classes on April 22 will be virtual. “We are deeply saddened by what is happening on our campus…We need a reset…Let’s sit down and talk, debate and find a way to compromise on a solution.” pic.twitter.com/sh3sYXJsJG
BREAKING NEWS: As Yale University's divestment camp enters its third night, Yale University President Peter Salovey has just mentioned the camp for the first time and sent a warning email to all students.
“Yale University will take disciplinary action in accordance with its policies.”
It's crazy. Israel appointed a prominent feminist scholar who teaches at Jerusalem's Hebrew University – a dual American-Israeli citizen (!) – on October 7th to condemn Israeli massacres in Gaza and question reports of mass rape. He was arrested for exhibiting.
