MANILA, Philippines — Justin Brownlee has confirmed that he will be moving to Indonesia as an overseas athlete.
Asked about reports about his contract with an Indonesian Basketball League team, the naturalized Gilas Pilipinas player said he intends to play overseas, but politely declined to discuss details of his future assignments.
„Yes, I will be playing overseas. I should be leaving on Sunday,“ Brownlee told reporters.

Gilas and Ginebra coach Tim Cone allowed the longtime player to commit overseas, but remained committed to Ginebra next season and with the national team.
„We are happy for him. It will give him extra income and help him stay sharp and in shape. He will either return to Ginebra at the next import conference or return to Gilas in June. Deaf,” Cohn said.

The 35-year-old forward led Gilas to back-to-back wins against Hong Kong and Chinese Taipei in the first window of the FIBA Asia Cup qualifiers.
Brownlee won gold medals for the Philippines at the Cambodia Southeast Asian Games and the Hangzhou Asian Games.
