House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer acknowledged that impeachment was not the best course of action and suggested instead referring the case to the Justice Department.
„I want to be held accountable, that's what we've said all along,“ Comer told Newsmax. „When we started this investigation, we wanted to provide the American people with the truth and then have real accountability.“ So what is the real responsibility? Is it like impeaching Joe Biden in the House and then impeaching him in the Senate like they impeached Merrick Garland? Or does it mean introducing actual criminals to the Department of Justice? I think the latter. I would vote to impeach Joe Biden right now. It was intended to give us the tools to gather more information in order to win in court when we challenge our lawful subpoenas. We did it all. .”

Mr. Kamel spoke about Mr. Mayorkas' impeachment. Merrick Garland has not been impeached. The House Oversight Committee chairman's response was to admit that impeaching Biden is no longer an option. There will never be an impeachment vote or formal articles of impeachment.
The investigation into President Biden was a colossal failure.
James Comer and Jim Jordan thought they could bluff America into supporting the impeachment of Biden.
Comer's big problem is that Donald Trump is calling for President Biden to be impeached. It will be difficult to sell Hunter Biden's criminal referral to the Justice Department to Trump.
The Biden investigation is an absurd abuse of Congress' investigative powers.
Impeachment is dead and Chairman Comer is looking for a way out.
