MANILA, Philippines — Jack Animum has signed with the Ringwood Hawks of the National Basketball League 1 Women's Division and is heading to Australia.
Australian news outlet Phil Times reported on Maundy Thursday (Manila time) that Animam plays for a team based in Melbourne, Victoria.
The Gilas Pilipinas women's star is scheduled to make her debut with the Hawks on April 3 against Norwood Secondary College.

Ringwood, who are yet to win a title since joining the league in 2019, are elated to welcome Animum ahead of the new season.

The 25-year-old center became the second Filipino basketball player to play Down Under, following Kai Sotto, who played two seasons in the NBL with the Adelaide 36ers.

Animum has played in Serbia, France and China, and this will be his fourth overseas appearance after signing with Wuhan Shenfan last year.
The national university graduate played in 35 games for Wuhan in the China WCBA, averaging 11.4 points, 12 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 2.1 steals.
The 6-foot-5 Filipino athlete returned from an anterior cruciate ligament injury last year and helped the Gilas women win a silver medal at the Southeast Asian Games in Cambodia.
