BREAKING NEWS: Queen Camilla is taking a break from royal duties for some time due to 'downtime'. This means none of the four most senior members of the royal family – King Charles, Queen Camilla, Prince William and Duchess Kate – are currently working.

With no one left to play defense in the NBA All-Star Game, the score is a ridiculous 211-186, something that would never happen in a regular season game. (Note that some of the league's best defenders were on the floor, except for reigning MVP and threatening defender Joel Embiid, who was sidelined with an injury.) The players Despite being preserved, some of the ethics of (defense) service are disappearing. Still, I'm happy that I was able to take shots and score. And they will certainly play hard defense once the playoffs begin.
I haven't seen any papers on royal labor supply (Cohen's second law?), but I'm curious to see how that changes. At least in Britain, it is difficult to use royal status to influence politics. And certainly, working harder doesn't mean you'll get paid more. Although kings and queens nominally own lots of land and art, they cannot actually derive a source of income from these assets. You can hang a Michelangelo painting in your bedroom, but that's probably a good reason not to go out in public.
You can use your royal status to meet many important people, but what is the purpose? Are you raising money for your next startup? Or you could put more effort into it To increase one's stature and influence over other members of the royal family (Now we're getting somewhere). But what happens when that balance is disrupted by the defection of the first one or two people, or in the king's case by illness? What external forces keep the whole struggle for royal influence going? Is this a case of multiple competitive equilibria and now we (they?) are stuck in the low effort corner? Can Lina Khan tackle this?
What if all of them were just angry at a lot of us? If so, what is the next move in this fight against von Stackelberg? Should America reapply to the Empire against trembling odds? Is it enough to give them back Newfoundland? Will we give up Northern Ireland? Do they want us to send more tourists to London, or less? Do they want us to send more tourists to London, or less? I hope one of them marries Taylor Swift, or at least, in order to gain public attention. Should we go on a date?
If the NBA All-Star Game is to improve, perhaps viewer condemnation (or ridicule) of non-cooperators is the main way forward?
