Kadin Proctor is on his way back to Alabama. Tide Illustrated confirmed Tuesday that the five-star offensive tackle plans to return to the Crimson Tide after transferring to Iowa in January.
early Tuesday, Proctor is expected to leave the Hawkeyes' program and ultimately return to Alabama, according to a reporter for The Athletic.. Since Proctor has not graduated, he will have to wait until April 15, when the transfer portal reopens. The sophomore will be eligible to play at Alabama this fall if he chooses to return to the Crimson Tide.
Proctor started all 14 games last season, becoming the first true freshman to start at left tackle at Alabama since Cam Robinson in 2014. However, he struggled mightily in his debut match.
According to Pro Football Focus, Proctor tied for the most sacks of any Division I offensive lineman with 12 and also allowed the 12th most pressures (36). .
Still, he showed signs of improvement throughout the year, earning Alabama's second-highest offensive grade in the SEC Championship Game win over Georgia. The 6-foot-7, 360-pound lineman finished the season with a pass blocking rating of 58.8 and a run blocking rating of 67.2, according to PFF.
Proctor signed with the University of Alabama as the highest-rated tackle and No. 8 overall player in the 2023 class. He has three years of eligibility left.
