Transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney is launching a stand-up comedy career. But unfortunately for the influencer, that doesn't go over well, as social media users slam Mulvaney's joke, calling it „disgusting.“
Mulvaney's stand-up comedy work
daily mail Last year, after costing Bud Light's parent company Anheuser-Busch $1.4 billion in sales, Mulvaney decided stand-up comedy was the way to go. However, it didn't take long for social media users to shoot down this notion.
After Mulvaney took the stage at a comedy club in Utah, viewers said the set was „disgusting“ and that the audience was „not clapping because it's funny, they're clapping because they want to cheer.“
„Look at me doing stand-up,“ Mulvaney said in a video posted to social media in a pink knit crop top and white skirt after appearing on Wise Guys Salt Lake City in January.
Mulvaney also touched on the boycott of Bud Light that conservatives began last year after the company partnered with a transgender influencer.
“Conservative men just believe I can beat them at beer pong,” Mulvaney said. „And conservative women are tired of my kids calling me 'mom' in all of my Instagram comments.“

Social media users fight back
Mulvaney claimed he was „very happy“ that the show „went so well“, but social media users made it clear that was not the case at all.
One user commented: „Dylan Mulvaney is without a doubt one of the most attention-seeking figures in recent history,“ while another simply added: „It's really disgusting.“
A third user commented: „Sure, even men pretending to be women aren't good at comedy.“ A fourth person wrote, „I feel like I'm not clapping because it's funny, I'm clapping because I want to support it. It's sweet, but it's not a comedy.“
After Mulvaney entered into a partnership with Bud Light last year, conservatives launched a highly effective boycott of the brand, resulting in parent company Anheuser-Busch „primarily due to lower Bud Light sales'' in 2023. It reportedly suffered a loss of $1.4 billion for the year.to CNNciting the brewer's fourth quarter. Earnings report.
Arlyn Cheekley, equity analyst at online investment platform Hargreaves Lansdown, said: „In the US, performance remains very weak with revenues falling at a double-digit pace as the group has lost market share. „

Mulvaney abandons Bud Light
Mulvaney abandoned Bud Light shortly after the boycott began.
„It's worse for companies to hire transgender people and not publicly support them than to not hire transgender people at all,“ Mulvaney reportedly said in a video posted to social media last June. That's true.'' signboard. “This allows customers to be as transphobic and hateful as they want.”
„And the hate doesn't stop with me. It has serious and serious consequences for the rest of our community,“ Mulvaney added. „And we're customers too. I know a lot of trans and queer people who love beer.“
Mulvaney went on to claim that she was „scared“ to leave her home and was experiencing „a loneliness I wouldn't wish on anyone.“
„Turning a blind eye and acting as if everything is okay is not an option at this time,“ Mulvaney concluded. „And you might say, 'But Dylan, I don't want to be political.' Baby, supporting transgender people shouldn't be political. Working with us should not be controversial or divisive.”
There is literally nothing funny about Mulvaney and I can't imagine why a transgender influencer thought stand-up comedy was a good idea. Only time will tell if Mulvaney decides to grab the mic and expose the world to unfunny stand-up comedy once again.
