Complete list of BJP candidates 2024 Uttar Pradesh Lok Sabha elections: The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced the first list of candidates for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. The initial list includes 195 candidates, of which 51 are from Uttar Pradesh. The BJP is heavily dependent on Uttar Pradesh as it has the largest number of MPs in the state.
Notable names in the first list include Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Varanasi, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh in Lucknow, Hema Malini in Mathura, Ajay Mishra Theni in Kheri, Smriti Irani in Amethi, Faizabad (Ayodhya) )'s Lalo Singh, and India's Mahendra Nath Pandey. Especially Chandauri.
New faces on the BJP list include Saket Mishra from Shrawasti, Kripa Shankar Singh from Jaunpur and Ritesh Pandey from Ambedkarnagar.

Akett Mishra, the incumbent MLC, is the son of Nripendra Mishra, chairman of the Ram Janmabhoomi temple construction committee and former chief secretary to Prime Minister Modi.
Kripa Shankar had resigned from the Congress to join the BJP, and current BSP MP Pandey had recently switched sides.
Candidates for Pilibhit and Sultanpur, fielded by Varun Gandhi and Maneka Gandhi respectively, are yet to be announced.

Prime Minister Modi is seeking re-election for the third time from Varanasi, which he won in two elections in 2014 and 2019 from the same seat by a huge margin of 3.71 million votes and more than 4.79 million votes.
Rajnath Singh will also be seeking re-election in the Lucknow elections for the third time after comfortably winning the last two elections in 2014 and 2019 with a margin of 272,000 votes and 3.47 votes respectively.
Hema Malini has been re-elected from Mathura city, where she won two consecutive terms in 2014 and 2019 on a BJP ticket. Prior to that, she was a member of Rajya Sabha.
The BJP has once again discarded its faith in Ajay Mishra Teni from Kheri. Mishra is at the center of a storm in connection with an incident of violence on October 3, 2021, in which his son Ashish Mishra allegedly ran over protesting farmers in Lakhimpur Kheri with his car. I was there. Mr. Mishra won the Lok Sabha elections for the party from Kheri constituency in 2014 and 2019.
The Bharatiya Janata Party also dumped its faith in Smriti Iran for the Amethi seat, considered a Gandhi stronghold. Iran dealt a major blow to the Congress in the 2019 elections, defeating incumbent MP Rahul Gandhi by a margin of more than 55,000 votes.
The Amethi Lok Sabha seat remained loyal to the Congress and the Gandhi family. Rahul Gandhi himself has represented the country thrice and before him, his mother Sonia Gandhi also contested from this seat.
Lalo Singh competed from Faizabad (Ayodhya), where he won both in 2014 and 2019.
In addition to Hema Malini and Smriti Irani, the list includes Rekha Verma of Daurala, Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti of Fatehpur and Neelam Sonkar of Lalganj (South Carolina). A total of five female candidates are included.
