Wood has reportedly obtained the restraining order against his ex-girlfriend due to emotional and mental distress, as well as property damage.
The 28-year-old forward took legal action against his ex-girlfriend, Instagram model Yasmine Lopez, alleging that she entered his house and damaged his car, as reported by TMZ.
According to Wood, on February 23 of this year, Lopez and her friends trespassed at his California residence, vandalizing his Mercedes-Benz.
Wood further claims that Lopez accessed another of his vehicles, opened his front gate, and wandered around his property.
Neighbors witnessed the situation and contacted the police, resulting in Lopez’s arrest.
Wood shares an eight-month-old son named Kobe Sean with Lopez. He alleges that the police instructed him to retrieve his son from Lopez’s friend’s house to avoid involving child protective services.
However, Lopez did not surrender the child and instead began making false accusations against Wood to the media.
This is not the first altercation between Wood and Lopez.
In August of 2023, Lopez broke into Wood’s home, causing destruction and attempting to harm him. Police intervened to resolve the situation.
In January 2023, while Wood was playing for the Dallas Mavericks, Lopez trespassed at his residence and vandalized his Lamborghini.
Wood believes Lopez is using his public work schedule to stalk him, track his whereabouts, and damage his property. Wood also alleges that Lopez has been physically aggressive towards him and has estranged him from their child.
The terms of the restraining order mandate that Lopez must stay 100 yards away from Wood at all times, with exceptions made for peaceful conversations regarding their child.
Additionally, the restraining order prohibits Lopez from harassing, attacking, threatening, or stalking Wood.
While the restraining order is in effect, Lopez is not allowed to possess a firearm.
The restraining order is set to expire on March 20.
