Over the past month, a number of elite wide receivers have been featured prominently at several events held in the state of Texas. But there were also quite a few lesser-known up-and-comers that caught my eye.
Here are five Texas wide receivers whose stocks I'm buying.
Jaquise Martin (2025)
jaquise martin are the top three playmakers I've seen in the last month, and the other two are top-50 prospects. He scored a walking touchdown in a 7-on-7 situation. He is an exceptional route runner and has great ball skills. He was previously listed as a versatile back, but at 6-foot, 190 pounds, he certainly has the size to live wide at the next level. It didn't matter the competition lined up across from him, he dominated. Martin's hands are some of the best I've seen this cycle, and I fully expect him to perform well during the camp season.
Catelius Brown (2025)
Katerias Brown He's a prospect who already has quite a few Power 4 offers, but I feel like he's been a bit undervalued. He has stood out in recent weeks with his ability to not only stand on top of the defense, but also get up vertically and attack the ball at the catch point. He's had some highlight-worthy plays where he just used his athleticism to get the win. He has a hard frame and will need to add some mass over time, but Brown could be the primary weapon. He gained nearly 1,000 yards and nine touchdowns on just 37 catches as a junior at Seguin.
Romell Stevens (2025)
Having a 6-foot-6 wide receiver can take away a little bit of athleticism and fluidity. However, this was not the case in most cases Romell Stevens. I was really impressed with his route running and agility at his size. It also helps if the quarterback can throw his ball where Stevens fades with certainty over the defender. At 210 pounds, he doesn't have the weight to play tight end, but if he can add weight, his athleticism has the potential to be a big receiving threat at the position. right. Stevens has shown that he can run a variety of routes at all of his three levels of the tree (short, intermediate, and down the field).
Jwaan Woodbury (2026)
Looking ahead to 2026, there are some similarities in the valuations. juwaanne woodberry As was Carterius Brown. He's a little short at 6-foot-1, but he's sturdy at 165 pounds. He showed the ability to get down on the field and win battles with contested catches. Strong hands and a catch away from the body. He has long speed and can move away after the catch. As a sophomore, he had just 30 receptions for 875 yards and 10 touchdowns. He should be impressed this camp season.
Case Messer (2026)
Highland Park always has one or two playmakers who show up in big moments. case messer He appears to be well on his way in that direction. The 2026 outlook perfectly captures everything that is released into the air. His hands are incredibly strong and are always in a good position to catch the ball. He has a great frame at 6-foot-3, 170 pounds, and his body will continue to grow, which will help with his agility and athletic skills. He is a quality route runner who will find weak spots in defenses and win even contested catches.
